Educational Qualification (Minimum)
- (1) National Medium: Passed in Secondary and Higher Secondary Certificate/Equivalent Examination with GPA 5.00 in any one and minimum GPA 4.50 in the other.
- (2) English Medium: Passed in ‘O’ Level 6 subjects with ‘A’ grade in 3 subjects, ‘B’ grade in 3 subjects and minimum ‘B’ grade in 2 subjects at ‘A’ level.
Or
- ‘A’ grade in 2 subjects, ‘B’ grade in 3 subjects and ‘C’ grade in 1 subject and ‘A’ grade in 1 subject and ‘B’ grade in 2 subjects at ‘A’ level.
- (3) For Armed Forces Candidates: Passed both HSC & SSC Examination separately with minimum GPA 4.00.
- (4) 2024 Regular HSC/’A’ Level Candidates Application Process: Specially Note, 2024 Regular HSC/’A’ Level Candidates can apply; Candidates in this field must have SSC GPA-5.00/’O’ level with ‘A’ grade in 3 subjects, ‘B’ grade in 3 subjects/equivalent results.
Selected candidates can appear in ISSB only after appearing in HSC/’A’ level examination. HSC/’A’ level exam results must be published before joining BMA through both channels. No candidate can join BMA without result.
- Application Fee: BDT 2000/- (Two Thousand) (Non-refundable)
- Age Limit: 16 years 6 months to 21 years as on 01 July 2025 (affidavit not acceptable); 18-23 years as on 01 July 2025 for candidates serving in Armed Forces.

Disqualification for the candidate
- Removed/dismissed from Army/Navy/Air Force or any Government service.
- Screened out/rejected 02 (two) times by ISSB (screened out once and rejected once can apply). However, candidates screened out/rejected 02 (two) times in previous 05 (five) years can also apply.
- Amblyopia and farsightedness greater than 2.5 diopters and astigmatism greater than 1.0 diopters in each eye will be considered ineligible.
- Appeals from Army, Navy, Air Force are inadmissible by Medical Board.
- Doctors referring a total of 02 (two) or more in all professional examinations of Medical and Dental Colleges will be considered ineligible for admission to the Army.
Selection Procedure
- Preliminary Selection (Health & Oral) Examination: Preliminary Selection (Health & Oral) Examination will be held from 27 October 2024 to 07 November 2024 in various cantonments. If a candidate is unable to appear on the day of the examination, he/she can appear in the examination on any day within the specified time. However, if the date of the examination is changed, it must be directly informed to the concerned examination center in advance.
- Written Test: Candidates who have cleared the preliminary selection test will have to appear in the written test of Bengali, English, General Mathematics and General Knowledge at the place mentioned in the interview paper. The written test will be held on 15 November 2024. (Friday) 0900 hrs. The result of the written test will be published on the website (https://joinbangladesharmy.army.mil.bd/) in the first week of December 2024.
- Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB) Examination: Candidates who qualify the written examination will have to appear for the examination/interview at the ISSB located at Dhaka Cantonment on the scheduled date. The exam/interview date will be published on the ISSB website (www.issb-bd.org). The examination will be completed in four days and all expenses will be borne by the government.
- Final Health Test: Candidates will have to attend the final health test after the ISSB examination.
- FINAL SELECTION AND ISSUANCE OF JOINING GUIDELINES: Candidates subject to final qualification in health test will be finally selected and joining guidelines will be issued by HQ, AG’s Branch, PA Directorate.

Bangladesh Army 94th BMA Test Participation Conditions
As per the Bangladesh Army recruitment circular 2024 for various courses and cores, the recruitment test will be held in two phases. The two stages are:
- Written Examination
- Oral Examination
- Computer proficiency test for other qualifications. (as per post).
