Dhaka University (DU), one of the leading higher education institutions in Bangladesh, has affiliated seven colleges to increase higher education opportunities. These universities are:

2. Eden Women’s College
3. Shaheed Suhrawardy Government University
4. Kabi Nazrul Government School
5. Begum Badrunnessa Government Girls College
6. Mirpur Government Bengali University
7. Titumir Government University

These universities offer a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs under the academic and administrative supervision of the University of Dhaka, with the aim of imparting quality education and maintaining the standards set by the University.

DU 7 University Admission Circular 2023-24

Here is complete DU 7 University Admission Circular 2023-24. Seven universities affiliated to Dhaka University started their journey with DU. Before that, they were under the guidance of the National University.

Currently there are around 1,67,270 students in both Honors and Masters level. About 1,150 professors participate in these universities. Although these universities are affiliated to Dhaka University, the students of these universities get certificates only under DU without any other facilities.

7 College Admission Circular 2024 Eligibilities

For admission to DU 7 universities, students must meet certain requirements. Those who have passed SSC in 2021/2020/2019 and HSC in 2023 are eligible to apply. Science students need an aggregate GPA of 7.00, business studies students need 6.50, and humanities students need a combined SSC and HSC of 6.00.

Students who meet these conditions can apply for admission in 7 colleges affiliated to the University of Dhaka, which have 22,000 seats. It is easy to get admission compared to other universities and the certificate is issued by the University of Dhaka. Some students may not be eligible if they do not meet these GPA requirements.

Minimum requirements for Business Studies units

• Only students who have passed Business Studies/A-Level/Diploma in Business Studies/Business Management in HSC can apply for this unit.
• To participate in the entrance exam, they must achieve a minimum GPA of 6.50 in both SSC and HSC.
• Diploma in Business Studies/Business Management students need at least a B grade (GPA 3.00) in Accounting at intermediate level.
• GCE O level candidates must pass 5 subjects and A level candidates must pass at least 2 subjects to apply.
• Those who studied Business Studies/Business Management/Economics/Mathematics in SSC from A level can apply.
• Foreign students must obtain permission from the Dean of Business Studies Unit, University of Dhaka.

Requirements for science units.

• The general criteria for each unit is to pass one year of SSC between 2014-2017.
• HSC Pass Year 2023.
• They must have experience in science with HSC or equivalent exam.
• They require an aggregate GPA of 7.00 in both SSC and HSC.
• Minimum 3.25 in each exam.
• IGCSE/O-Level and IAL/A-Level candidates must pass a total of 7 subjects. At least 5 O level subjects and at least 2 A level subjects.
• They must show the documents to the authorities.

Requirements for arts and social sciences

• The approval year is the same for all units.
• Students from all groups can apply for Arts and Social Sciences units.
• In SSC and HSC, they must achieve a minimum GPA of 6.00.
• The criteria for IGCSE/O-Level and IAL/A-Level are the same as for other units.

Applicants must take the admission test at the selected departmental center mentioned at the time of application. The exam center details will be on the admit card. Filling out the topic choice form

Subject and college selection has begun for all seven government colleges of Dhaka University. The process of filling the form started on July 11, 2024. If you qualify for the admission test, you can select the university and subject on the university admission website (collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd) until on July 24, 2024. The final result of the assignment will be published later. You will be asked to complete a detailed form with the required information and indicate your preferences.

Earlier, the admission test results for the year 2023-24 of seven government colleges affiliated to the University of Dhaka were declared. The total number of seats in seven affiliated government universities is 26,160 in science, business studies and arts and social sciences units. There are 6,500 places in the science unit, 5,310 in commerce and 14,350 in arts and social sciences.
